Just before the demonstration started the announcement of the Israeli invasion came over the news wires. An angry march through midtown Manhattan shut down 42nd St, stalled mid-town traffic and ended at the Israeli Mission to the U.N. At the closing rally, the crowd stretched from 48th to 42nd Street, along 2nd Ave. In Washington DC, over 20,000 took to the streets in the freezing rain to demand, "Let Gaza Live!"
In San Francisco, 10,000 took part in the march and rally. The rally included a huge outpouring from the local Arab community, and energetic participation from Bay Area youth. A crowd of 2000 demonstrators confronted a heavy police presence in downtown Orlando for the "Let Gaza Live: Florida State-wide March for Palestine." Around 1,000 people stretched across the steps in front of Philadelphia's City Hall for a rally targeting U.S. funding for the Israeli war against the Palestinian people in Gaza. The crowd predominantly Palestinians, youthful, and militant. Chants targeted the terrorist nature of Israel's bombing in Gaza. Speakers linked budget cuts in Philadelphia that will close 11 libraries to U.S. funding of Israeli bombs being dropped on elementary schools. Passing motorists honked in support. In Boston, about 1500 people took to the streets to protest the US/Israeli Genocide in Gaza. Chanting "Free, Free Palestine", "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will Free", "We Support the Resistance" the demonstrators marched through main shopping area of downtown Boston, stopping at the US Military Recruiters and the Israeli Consulate for mini rallies.

It was the largest protest and the first major march in Southern California since the Israeli bombing campaign and invasion began.
A funeral procession led the march with makeshift coffins draped with Palestinian flags, representing the hundreds of people killed by Israel’s genocidal attack on Gaza. Hundreds of children followed, along with a huge, hand-made Palestinian flag, in a contingent organized by the Palestinian American Women’s Association.

This is What Barbarity Looks Like

Anyone with a semblance of humanity watching this video, hearing what the doctor in a Gaza hospital says, will know the extent of Israel's barbarity.
"This is Dante's Inferno, hell. There are injuries here you just don't want to see. Children with their abdomens open and legs cut off. We just had a child and we had to amputate both legs and an arm. Their only crime is that they are civilians, Palestinians, living in Gaza. The bombing has to stop immediately. This cannot go on. Anyone who portrays this as a clean war against another army is lying. This is an all out war against the civilian population in Gaza. They cannot flee as other populations can in war time because Israel has them trapped in a cage. Israel is bombing one and a half million people trapped in a cage."
