We urge our supporters to stand on the side of the Libyan people who are determined to end Gadaffis 42 year brutal dictatorship.
Many Libyans living in Manchester have family and friends who face attack by Gadaffi's forces. Britain helped train Gadaffi's police force, and sold him some of the weapons he is using against the people.
Stop the War has pointed to the hypocracy of British prime minister David Cameron who has prioritised arms sales to the region. We believe that the clamour to intervene in Libya has more to do with the intention of controlling the country’s oil resources than with support for Libya’s people.
