The Stop the War Coalition is one of the most effective and successful campaigns in British history--building as it has on the prior endeavours of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), the trades unions, anti-racist campaigners, anti-war Muslim organisations and civil liberties groups.

Every day brings more horror stories about pointless wars, sickening atrocities, torture, "rendition", sabre-rattling, threats of new wars (e.g Iran) and ever more draconian attacks on civil liberties from chickenhawk, neo-con warmongers and their media and PR flunkeys. The colonial mentality is alive and well in today's Britain. It is time for it to be buried for good. The Stop the War Coalition is dedicated to ridding the world of predatory wars, racism, Islamophobia and never-ending attacks on our civil liberties.
